THE GLEN ROSE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES had called for a $19.995 million dollar Bond Referendum that was held on May 8, 2010. Bond proceeds are proposed to be used to construct a new 2,000 seat gymnasium, convert an existing auxiliary gymnasium into a new band hall, add an addition to the Ag. Livestock facility and district-wide technology upgrades. The Bond Referendum was approved and projects are proposed to be completed over the next 2.5 years.
The proposed Bond Referendum is not expected to increase the current tax rate over the fifteen year period. Bonds would be structured to be paid off over a fifteen year period
